Raju Srivastava is no more

Raju Srivastava dies today at AIIMS Delhi. He was suffering a heart attack on August 10 while working out at a hotel. 


Here's a snap of looking back at the comedian Raju-Srivastava (real name: Satya Prakash Srivastava) career and his on-stage character Gajodhar Bhaiya which made him a fan favorite. The beloved comedian, Gajodhar Bhaiya, Raju-Srivastava is no more among us. He was in the ICU for 41 days. He was 58. 
In His earlier interview, Mr. Srivastava mentioned several times how he used to wait for school functions to perform on stage. With the dream to spread laughter, he started his journey to become a comedian and moved to Mumbai soon after. 
He got once noticed while mimicking Amitabh Bachchan and soon started getting offers to imitate Big-B on screen. The comedian has time & again credited Big B for helping him kickstart his career.

Defence Minister Tweeted "I am deeply saddened by the passing away of renowned comedian, Raju Srivastava Ji. Apart from being an accomplished artist, he was also a very lively person. He was also very active in the social field. I extend my condolences to his bereaved family and fans. Shanti!"

After doing minor roles in movies such as Maine Pyaar Kiya, Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa, and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon among these, his career took off after he participated in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
The nation will always miss Gajodhar Bhaiyya for his wonderful & graceful comedy humor on stage.
